Beats Venus Wiiliams on her Aussie open main draw debut and now provisionally up to career high of 40.
Well done Jo!
Great result for JoKo

Another great win in round 2 and winnable game in round 3 could see her get to mid 30s ranking and close in on seeded spot for French open.

And another! Beats Allertova in straight sets, now into second week with ease!

Nerves of steel!!!
Konta wins again, first British woman in over 30 years to make quarter final of a Slam.
Up to career high of 32 in rankings and will be seeded at Roland Garros if she keeps this form up.

I felt a bit bad that you're all on your own on this thread, and she's doing brilliantly - not getting anywhere near enough attention in my opinion!

Cheers phil, yes, not getting attention at all, but now into semi final after dominant display and great nerve.
Up to 28 in the world and hopefully prize money takes some pressure off and allows her to move even further up the rankings....also might give Watson a reality check.

If anything it should give Robson a reality check

to be honest, I think Robson is past that now, no real focus any more.

A match too far for Konta, Kerber was a step up in terms of opponent, but this is a new experience, give her a little time, she will adjust to cope with that new level.
Hopefully will be seeded for RG and add more ranking points.
Top 20, maybe even top 10 this year.
Massive massive congratulations to Konta for a great tournament!
