Really Utd??? This Is So "Beneath" You

Was genuinely surprised by this news. I really thought Utd had more about them. Shows how desperate the club has become, that their willing to get into the gutter with Jose, just to get some silverware again. I also wonder how Giggs is taking the news. Can't imagine he's too happy about it to be honest. He'll have another two years experience under his belt so is bound to want to crack on as a manager. Jose blocking his path for another how many seasons, could well see him do one, in favour of a No. 1 job at another club. Utd can't assume that they will be able to get him back, should he find success elsewhere.

Personally, I'm sickened by Utd even considering this. The man has just been sacked for poor results and disgusting behaviour. And they turn around to consider offering him an even bigger and better job than he had. People moan about players being role models, but what message does it send to every little football fan out there. That they've just seen Murinho fail miserably at his job then blame, bully or insult everyone around him, for HIS failings. And a club full of esteemed history pre and post EPL, is willing to give the classless, disgusting little oike their endorsement by rewarding him with one of the biggest jobs in all of football. Keeping "Longest serving, most decorated in club history, ever faithful," Giggs out of the job.

Way to go Utd. Hell why don't you go and sign up a few of the most disgustingly behaved, failing players to the fattest contracts ever, whilst your at it. After all:

"Being a total ass and disgrace of a person whom blames the world for what THEY do wrong, will get you rewarded big time!"

Is just the message we want to be sending our kids ay

There are other managers out there whom are more than talented enough to get Utd back to being major challengers and possible winners. The hiring of Murinho is just too far beneath the standards and prestige of the club. And IMO, regardless how many titles he can win, it'll be a big, ugly blot on the history of The EPL'S flagship club.

First the Holocaust, now United are rumoured to be thinking about employing someone who acted like kind of a jerk. It's hard to maintain a belief in humanity's potential for good. But I think it's important we try regardless.

Yeah I'm sure you'd love us to have a nice guy like Moyes in charge.

Mourinho can be a cant, so could Fergie, so can Wenger.

I don't see what he's done that so bad that people claim anyone who goes near him are selling their soul.

Did Barca sell their soul when they bought Suarez?

"I'm sickened by Utd even considering this

"Woodward has sold our soul to the devil."

"this club is dying a slow and painful death and if we do hire Jose, it just is the final nail in the coffin."

I'm no huge Jose fan, but my god there are some drama queens on here...

I agree 100% this club is dying a slow and painful death and if we do hire Jose, it just is the final nail in the coffin.
....
FFS, on today of all days you should know the club will never die, stop being such a little puzsy and sort yourself out.

If Jose is hired. Utd "As we know it" is dead. What stands in it's place will be a severely tarnished shadow of what came before it, in those terms. It's the death of a reputation, as opposed to the club itself. Most younger Utd fans, just can't understand this as they are the "Reality TV Generation." THEY have grown up in an era which has taught them that money and five minutes of fame are more important than standards and having self respect.

What if Jose were to behave impeccably, play good football and win a few trophies?

Maybe this season's debacle taught him a thing or two.

I'll be sickened if we sign Jose. Moyes seemed like a "maybe" and we gave him a chance, but signing this prigk will deeply sadden me. We'll be open to all kinds of horrible ridicule. This must NOT happen! Sure, it won't be enough to make me stop my support, but I'll be disgusted every time I see that smug prigk. How do I really feel about this? I don't think I've minced my words one bit. We've been accused as being a plastic team, I can live with that, as as evidenced on this board, we have our share of dubious "supporters".I can't fathom just how sickened I am just at the thought that we've actually had talks with him.

Really? Why? How did you feel when we welcomed a player back into the fold after Kung Fu kicking a fan? How about when Roy Keane made THAT tackle on Alf Inge Haajland? That was okay?

But Jose would be the straw that broke the camel's back? Fair enough

When you talk about Mourinho, you're not talking about a heat-of-the-moment response when his brain's oxygen-deprived and his pulse is racing at around 200bpm.

Nevertheless, JM's accumulated enough sending-offs and touchline incidents to suggest that he'd have massive disciplinary problems on the pitch.

Eye-gouging aside though, the worst thing about him is the number of statements and incidents he's got himself involved in when he's had more than enough time to think things through.

He's proven time and again that he'll stop at nothing in order to save face. His own players, fans, club employees, media, authorities ... everyone's fair game when it's about JM deflecting the blame.

He's as shameless as his football can be at times.

It'll be interesting to see you back on here defending his approach when he instructs his players to kick lumps out of technically superior opponents. Those were lovely times at Madrid.
