Fulham v Derby County - Match Thread......

OK, the alternative to the alternative match thread. This one is not sly, but merely an attempt to present what I have always attempted to present even when it has been difficult to do so..... I think....

Oh and btw, please form an orderly queue to submit your complaints about this floundering system

We need a win, we need to instill some confidence back into a Derby team which individually has the best players in the Championship but lack the team collegiality vital to get out of this league.

Seems that Thorne is unavailable, we have always struggled without him, perhaps now we will see a different system reap a wonderful return.... btw why is George Thorne immune from the vitriolic that heads some players' ways??

Team news, brought to you by MojacoPro.....

Starting XI:

Carson
Christie
Keogh
Shackell
Olsson
Hendrick
Bryson
Baird
Russell

Weimann

Subs:

ramdini a dog in sheep's clothing!

Agreed Ramdini except for your comment that Bent, Ince and Johnson are great men. They are a great waste of money.

I know what you mean and I think the same. I suppose I was trying to say the "expensive/costly" players. I think it was like my granddaughter said yesterday - if you saw that remark of mine.

I think for a while PC - perhaps out of respect for MM - felt that he couldn't leave out some of the players recently brought in.

RFB?
Not a Red Dog, just one who likes to recognise reality. Dougie is a decent manager (many Forest fans wanted him gone) But there is no way Fawaz is a decent/good Chairman

I will not defend Clement at this minute. He needs to grow a pair trust me.

If anyone needs one reason why sacking Clement now would be a bad move, look at the available options to replace him, (ones that would actually come to Derby that is).

Is there anyone that is not unemployed for being shiite somewhere else? We were crap at the end of last season and PC did get us to top spot before the current malaise.

COYR.

I walked away from the ground last night feeling for the first time that Clement may not be the man. The initial team selection, the like for like substitutions and inability to recognise when something isn't working. I calmed down a bit later and had a think about it, we have played well at times this season, we have been top of the league and we do have the players to stay in the hunt for promotion. My fear is Uncle Mel may not see it that way, all has been quiet from him since the dressing room rant, but I just have a feeling that if the MK Dons result isn't a positive one, he may decide that we need to rescue our season without Mr Clement.

Quiet from Uncle Mel?

So, where has Sam Rush been? Is he still employed? He was never shy before. Is he maintaining a dignified silence until he sees which way to jump? Is he too embarrassed to say anything? Does he see what is going on?

I think we should be told 👍

It's not Big Sam's job to storm the dressing room or to do the post-match press conferences: he did his bit in January when called upon, now it's over to PC to sort the team out.

If that bit isn't PC's role, then wtf is? Promotion may not be essential this season but progress surely is.
