I was thinking about the discussions I have seen between Celtic fans about Roaring Ronny and the ever dwindling amount of the support that back him seem to be left with one final argument.
He has to be given time to implement his vision and plan.
I'm just wondering what is his vision and plan and what evidence is there that he has implemented any of it?
I see things like high pressing game, tactical awareness and focus on technique while also improving health and fitness lifestyle.
Now these things sound great but is any of it happening? Does he actually know how to implement it or are they meaningless sound bites?
I could stand up at a press conference and say all those things (probably better than Ronny too) because I have played football manager and that's a great plan and in the game all I do is work out what settings to click. Unfortunately in real life I have not a clue how to implement these things.
The question is does Ronny?

Consensus seems to be that we have too many midfielders and that Ronny is a goner with it just a matter of when.

I dont know how many times I've read Celtic fans saying Ronny needs more time, and comparing his style of play to that Le Guen tried to implement, as if they are one in the same thing.
Can I just point out a few things
1. Ronny doesn't have a player revolt on his hands, PLG did.
2. PLG had taken a side to the semis of the Champions League before coming to us, his style of play was PROVEN in France and, crucially, in Europe.
3. Although PLG was a failure domestically in Scotland, we never lost a single game under him in Europe in the short space of time that he was here, not one.
To try and compare that with Ronny is....well....laughable.
Ronny inherited a Champions League group stage side and saw them humped home and away by Legia Warsaw before they got into the Europa League by default.
He came from a Norwegian team...that had done fck all in Europe, absolutely fck all, hadnt even qualified for the Europa League group stages.
I cant sit and listen to Celtic fans peddle this pi$h that he is Le Guen mark two, trying to install a European style of play and its all Scottish Football's fault that he is failing.
He has done next to FCK ALL in Europe, his entire managerial career
How the fck can he be instilling a proven "european style" when he'd had sod all success on that front before he even took the job on??
Moreover, why is Scottish Football being used as an excuse to hide these failings?

Le Guen never reached Champions League semi, it was houllier in Le Guen sabbatical. He inherited a team that had just won Ligue 1. Lyon peaked under a different coach so his hype was false.
They are different entirely. As I mentioned previously Le Guen failed more because he failed to react to the opposition. If you enter games with crucial flaws of being weak and poor in the air and you're competing in a competition where teams will use high balls and strength then you've immediately set yourself up to struggle
