Are we completely discounting Donald Love then as cover for Darmian?...

As others have said, having Darmian, first choice right back, Valencia; senior back-up and Varela should be enough for a season.

Our injury record has been horrendous for about six years now, something has to change surely? The way the players have been trained over that period? the rest and recovery period? the training ground pitch?

Something's not right, it can't just be down to bad luck.

all of darmian, rojo, shaw, even phil jones, have become much more injury-prone since joining united - darmian played an average of 33 league matches a year for torino (out of 38), this year he'll make 25 appearances if he is lucky.

Yeah, its not fair to blame LVG for lack of RB cover. We have enough RBs, its just bad luck that they are dropping like flies.

LVG has to blamed for lack of quality at RB though. It was his decision to sell our best RB and replace him with an expensive, injury prone dud.

I blame him fully

Valencia is not now or ever been a right back.

And he's been terrible for four years

Why's he still at the club anyway ffs

Yeah. I love to know LVG's reasoning behind selling Rafa and keeping Valencia

Mourinho will buy brick sh*t houses for defenders and CM. That's what he likes. They don't get injured and they don't lose goals on set pieces !!

Tbh we have a lot of injury prone players. You can't do much about that except ship them out.

MD today was bad luck.

It was bad luck, but it was also a hospital ball from Lingard, who sold him short.

People really need to learn what injury prone is.

You can't use impact injuries when suggesting someone is injury prone ffs

posted on 13/2/16

Yes you can. Look at Jones, plenty of his injuries come from impact because of the way he plays. If he didn't go into things as recklessly as he does then he wouldn't be getting injured as often as he does, same applies for Rafael too.

You can be injury prone by being reckless and you can be injury prone by having issues with muscles, bones, joints, tendons etc.

So dislocating your shoulder makes you injury prone??
9 players out of 10 landing on their shoulder like lije would probably cause some serious damage.

People were saying shaw was injury prone at one point, does him breaking his leg confirm that??

Impact injuries like those cant be counted if they would take out the majority of players

But irrelevant of Shaw's leg break he is still injury prone, look at his injury record at Saints and with us. So far Darmian has also picked up a lot of injuries, some impact, some not, but I would say he does quite often go into challenges rather recklessly.

My point is you can be injury prone if you are mainly getting impact injuries if you regularly go into challenged recklessly as you give yourself more chance of injuring yourself.
