I think with Bellusci, Cooper, Bridcutt and Diagouraga we have a good spine but we have zero attacking prowess to compliment it.

Strikers who can strike would help ( apart from Ant).
Erwin needs a chance and we need to see what Botaka can do before we scrap him.

The 1:0 defeat to an own goal flatters us. They should have scored more to reflect the difference in class between us

To be fair though would Watfoed have scored without Wooton? How many saves did our keeper make?
Setanta commentator was all Watford but they hardly hit the target.

Fairly typical of recent matches. We're not rubbish - but we don't score goals. If we can't afford to buy a proven striker or two, then we have to experiment with youngsters, lower league loans, premiership loans, maybe a few cricketers, Cellino's dog, you get the picture.
If you don't fix it when it's not broke, surely when it is broke then trying to fix it is the answer. No?

The whole balance of football seems to be shifting steadily Southward .. where the money is.
Listening on the 5Live commentary, Watford and Bournemouth described as "Big Boys" compared to us! Watford and Bournemouth FFS!

Even our own Tony Dorigo was all over Watford! They aren't that much better than us - just have a bit of pace and strikers who manage to get into positions where their team mates play the ball.
