Khan looks pretty thick. He'll be shedding some of that though before fight night.
Canelo looks good to go already.
Thoughts?

The fight isn't at middleweight.

Watched an interview with David Haye at the London event and he was saying that Khan told him that it was really hard for him just to get down to 147 these days. That surprised me, especially when you consider he was fighting at 140 not too long ago.
So maybe around 154/155 is an easier weight for Khan to get to and more natural weight to fight at these days. He walks around quite a bit heavier than 155 anyway.
How this effects Khan's speed remains to be seen but I'm starting to think that Khan taking this fight and fighting at this weight isn't such a bad move afterall.
A slightly slower Khan is still going to be way faster than Canelo. David Haye seemed convinced that Khan beats Canelo so very intrigued to see what happens.

Making weight is always hard, and as you get older it becomes harder.

Khan might be slightly slower but he will still have the fastest hands in boxing! He won't win as he cant hold a game plan long enough and canelo will tag him eventually

Pretty sure I haven't said anything naive, just stating what Haye said in an interview about Khan potentially being more comfortable at 155 than many people realise, based on Khan telling Haye that he really struggles to get down to 147 these days.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I've seen the interview.
I will reiterate. Haye is not going to say anything negative about Khan because they are best chums. In fact if you watch the interview, Haye also says Khan is bigger than Canelo
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Haye saying that Khan told him that he really struggles to make 147 these days isn't really positive or negative though is it. It's just factual unless you believe that Haye basically made that story up.
