Ronaldo

Was getting booed in the fiftieth minitue by real fans and then went on to score four goals.

Why he ever joined that shower of crap club I'll never know.

Hope he leaves in the summer, whilst I don't want him back he deserves to be at a club where the supporters appreciate him.

Go to Paris lad, they'll love you over there and he'll break ibras record in no time. He can go til 38/39 in a league like that

the other teams in the league, so in the context of the PL, yes, they are poor.

Thank you. That's what I'm saying. Of course there better than the average joe on the street, as they should be they do it for a living.
That said in comparison to there peers they are poor.

And no, he isn't a good pl player, he is poor. Some good games doesn't change that.

Your name sake for example was very poor for us. No consistency to his play. Only scored in a few games. Lazy etc.

I've got a Madrid supporting friend who said Ronaldo has been a massive negative to the team this season. He doesn't do anything for the players around him and just wants goals for himself. That probably doesn't matter in most games but the close ones it'll cost the team plenty of points.

The abuse he gets is more than warranted, been holding us back for over half a decade now.

We'll see when he leaves and you lot end up about 300 points behind barca next year.

It's probably what we ned, tbh.

A descent into the 2nd division is probably the only way the socios will learn not to let the Pérez/Calderón type characters anywhere near the helm again.

Club needs to be headed by educated footballers with a business head, not businessmen who need the offside trap explained to them.

No pl player is poor?

Utter garbage.

Villa have an entire squad to choose from
Ffs.

Stretty,

Was it that you didn't fully read what I said, or too stupid to understand?

Villa are clearly not as good as any of the other teams in the league, so in the context of the PL, yes, they are poor.

But the number of professional footballers in the UK who play in the upper tiers of the game - PL, Championship level etc - isn't relatively few compared to the overall number of people that play football at any level. Villa's players are elite level footballers, albeit not compared to other elite level players in the PL.

Is that too hard to understand?

Now back to players like Arnautovic that you call 'poor'... Clearly he's not a poor player. He's a good PL player, sometime a very good one on his day. You are completely incapable of nuance. Everything you say seems to be at polar opposite ends of a spectrum. A player is either Ronaldo or Poor. Nothing in between.

This. There seems to be the logic unless someone is already playing for a top club that there is no talent there at all.

Bayern are more or less run by former players

probably because Bayern have had a couple of (slightly) intelligent footballers... heard recently that ex club president Uli Hoeness is to be released from prison early for fraud and tax evasion...

Very clever bloke.

Maybe we should let Wazza run the business side of the club after Ed eats himself.
