Derby County v Forrest - Match Thread......

First things first, let's take a moment to wish our dear pal Igor many happy returns for his 50th birthday, hope you had a great day 🎉🎊Have one on me tomorrow mate!

Now, down to business....

It's been a time of uncertainty and impatience at Derby recently, perhaps exacerbated by giving away there flipping goals in eight flipping minutes to Rotherham last week, or perhaps exacerbated by the dubious appointment of one Mr Redknapp as an advisor to Darren Wassall. And of course we have various Florest fans crowing about us making a last minute "desperate" appointment (not sure how you managed to make it about yourselves, but sure, if you need the world to revolve around you then who am I to knock you down? )

We could possibly be making some changes to the side (oh, you know, to bring in some players who play like they love the team rather than looking like they're doing this out of obligation?). Jake Buxton could come into the centre of the defence and forwards Darren Bent, Nick Blackman and Andreas Weimann could also be brought in.

Jamie Ward is newly fit after a recent hamstring problem and is looking likely to replace Macheda up front. Just a quick query - will we greet the guy positively or negatively? I'd personally go for positive, as he did a lot for us in his time at Derby (plus I have a pretty good photo with him but it'll be interesting to see how people react. Lansbury looks less likely to play, and Assombalonga (you know, that one they wouldn't shut up about a while ago) is out with a knee injury.

No point even considering form; we all know it goes out of the window on matches like these All we can do is hope that the players bring their 'A' game (and yet I'd still probably be irritated at that, because it would beg the question of why we can't play in a satisfactory manner all the time )

Will be at the IPro tomorrow, jittery with nerves, so could Moj do the honours and post the teams??
