As much as I admire our manager and firmly believe he is the man to turn around Liverpool's fortunes, I think his substitutions (or lack off) played a major part in how the game panned out today.
Firstly, a rusty Skrtel was chosen to to replace Lovren, who then had a torrid time. The Slovakian bag of nerves was easily bullied and his lack of composure quickly spread panic through the ranks.
Secondly Wanyama bullied our midfield after he came on and we couldn't handle him. Why he waited so long to bring Henderson on was a mystery.
Coutinho was also knackered after 70 mins, yet remained on the pitch. Mane targeted him in the second half, running past him at will.
After our mid week excursions, and cruising in the first half against the Saints, the players look drained in the second half today and I think the manager has to take a major share of the responsibility as to what happened out there. Waiting to 80 mins plus to change things to try and reinvigorate a tired side was a mistake. A very costly mistake.
Klopp to blame

Hope he succeeds mate, English footy needs the big clubs to bounce back and especially Liverpool.
The Leicester thing, while cute has tarnished the leagues reputation for me.

Dont be so silly. Leicester winning it whilst putting Spurs/Arsenal fans noses out of joint is a good thing.

Fair play lad
I think things are changing with the new tv deal and other clubs challenging is going to happen more often.

I assume we are ignoring the second place league finish which really should have been a first place finish, by far the second best achievement of the last 25 years for you guys after the CL win.

Doesnt change the fact that Klopp has improved us.
In the context of Rodgers reign that season was a freak, a glorious freak but a freak nonetheless.
Klopp is a proven winner, not a proven nearly man.

All i said was that so far he had done feck all to support the hype, you literally have not improved one bit.

Apart from that's not true.
We have improved, as shown by a cup final and a last 8 in Europe. Neither of which we had achieved for several years and wouldn't have achieved under the previous manager.
You don't really know what you are talking about.

For someone who is a self proclaimed football expert you really don't know what you're talking about.
Or didn't you know that in that time period Liverpool finished 3rd in the league, won the UEFA Cup, won the FA Cup and won the League Cup.. all in one season.
You can Google the year and then share your newly acquired knowledge to your friends and family. They will be so impressed.

Can't really blame Klopp when you see the stat's. Skrtel 3 goals conceded 1 pen given away 0 tackles won 0 blocks 0 interceptions. Liverpool won only 2 of the tackles they attempted in the 2nd half.
It's Klopps fault blatantly! He is overrated. He's had more then enough time 5 months. He should of already cleared the deadwood by now. Signed 8 world class players that all have re-sale value. Change the structure of the club! Klopp has flopped!
People on here are muppets that think Klopp is out of his league. Every club in the world would love to have him. He has brought fans onside again and everyone is singing louder and louder with every match! Of course there will be failures but listen to the man speak. He is no fool and look how we've improved in such a short time with players that everyone can see are not good enough for top 4 or challenging for cups.

Thought giving Flanners the arm band was a bizarre choice. He is a queit lad and not really captain material. We had other seniors in the team more deserving. Hopefully no one got the hump seeing Flanners with the arm band.

What an absolute scuzzbag.
so a club represented by genuine heart on sleeve athletes working as a team "tarnishes", a league that is over represented by mercenary charlatans?
What a scuzzbag
