SoG has said great things, and challenging i think is the best word to desribe it. People often confuse I think something being hard and something that is challenging, as honestly looking back at it Bloodborne isnt that hard. Its extremely challenging, and takes some time to get into the flow of things. SoG also makes another excellent point. Its a fair game - 99% of the time you die because its your fault, either you over extended or you didnt prepare.

Its streetfighter meets baldurs gate. Its rock, paper, scissors but to a scientific lovejoyen precision.

If you want to try one out buy it on console. I now the pc port of 1 was terrible, 2 was a bit better. I prefer Bloodborne out of the four games. Combat is so tight. If you are still unsure watch a couple of episodes of enb do his lets play on youtube.

Played dark souls when it was on gold. It was solid but extremely rewarding.

Theres a boss with a goats head and two dogs that took me hours to get passed. I think it was a side quest so I could have skipped it but I was determined to beat it.

Also an area where you get poisoned all the time was infuriating.

Still if you have the time they are well crafted and gratifying games.

Dark Souls, hardcore? Bah, back in my day we had "The Hobbit" text adventure on the ZX Spectrum. Now that was a hardcore game.

No, it was the only game.
