Lets be honest these boards have become the bastion of the "grumpy old/young mans club" ................... there's no perspective and everything in the world is dour if you lot are believed.
Anyone who stands by the club is hounded and derided - it's happened on these pages for 2 years now. Only the suicidal view of the club is permitted. We've all got to stay away, we've all got to protest, we've all got to vote with our feet (apart from some who never venture near the ground anyway!).
You'll all be back when times turn. You'll all come back if we get a "big team" in a cup comp.
You won't like this, you'll slate me, but that's the definition of a fair weather fan. You don't like that as you know in their is a grain or two of truth and you don't want to face up to that.
Real fans stand and follow the team whatever. Not just when they're winning and times are good.

I suppose what is interesting though is the number of posters on that thread who haven't been heard from much in a while. It says to me that there are differing views to those mainly pushed on here now. Perhaps brow beaten into silence?

You know, its a shame that we as a group just cannot present our views without getting personal and insulting towards each other. There are many that I agree with on certain items and disagree on others. There are some that I seem to disagree with on many issues and we are able to exchange our views and agree to disagree when that's the case.
All it takes is some mutual respect for one another as fans on the same board.
Unfortunately, some don't same to have the ability or desire to be respectful to others, just like many we all come across in our daily lives in person. Or at least pretend to be respectful here.
For the record, I have no issue with those with whom I have been posting here.
