Depressing

After watching that game, I feel so dejected. Polar opposite directions Liverpool and us are going in. They actually have a top manager who hasn't even made his signings yet and are still going places. Very likely to make the champions league as well as ending the season with a europa league trophy whilst we play dire football and face another season out the champions league. Club is filled with such uncertainty. I don't even remember the last time we had a half good comeback, genuinely think it might have been back in the sir alex ferguson days.

Rant over, sorry

We've got some decent prospects too thanks. The best ones probably being Ojo and Smith. Even Origi is only 20 and he is flying. Ibe is the same age and has potential.

The reason he has been player of the year is because no attackers have found any form so every save by DDG is magnified.

And if United had played the whole season with, say, Romero in goal, they would be much lower.

Why Romero kept 3 clean sheets out of 4 in PL. Its not that hard to keep clean sheets in this Man Utd side as teams rarely have any shots on goal against us until last 2 games.

Romero is $hit. It was obvious from the first game of the season. If he was in goal then teams would be encouraged to shoot from longer range and probably score more.

That proves my point even he easily kept clean sheets in our team. The reason why we keep so many clean sheets is because we dominate territorially most games so teams have very few chances to attack us as we bore them to death. There is a reason why their is so many 0-0 scores at HT as we are normally the dominant side and we have crap attackers so we blow lots of chances in first halves. Last 2 games we have been poor in last 20 minutes for some reason maybe lack of energy.

Only 7 goals conceded at home for a reason as teams park the bus against us.

But you would have more displays like the one against Swansea where he was absolutely shocking.

I thought Respected's post was pretty fair tbh Haf, replacing DDG could be a big factor this summer (if he leaves)

I have got conflicting thoughts on it, on the one hand goalkeepers are usually a fair bit cheaper than other positions, also they don't tend to get stocked at elite clubs like other positions so there are more good ones around at lesser teams.

Although on the other hand getting the right one can be tricky and hugely important. Also he's an incredible keeper so even a very good replacement would see us lose something.

Haven't United scored very few goals at times

It's often been DDG keeping the team in games with consistently great saves

GK of his level are few & far. Lose him and yes someone like Romeo. Hardly a confidence boaster

He may hang on for another season but he will go eventually

He may just watch City V Madrid and wonder, who knows

Believe me, we know how hard it is to find a good GK. Not had one since Pepe. Even he had off days! The current guy thinks he's good but dear me
