Season tickets

Nice incentive thats for sure.

fair play.

Looking at the 2015 accounts, there is an accrual figure of nearly £5m "representing advance payment of tickets and sponsorship". If I am reading this correctly, this would have to be the season tickets fans purchased up to that date.

On the assumption that the same folks buy the tickets, then we are looking at less than £1.25m (25%) impact.

Pinched from Twitter....

Can’t wait until the final day of next season when #LUFC are 7th needing a win but fans are thinking “hmm… i’d really prefer the 180 quid”.

Couldn't help but chuckle

"representing advance payment of tickets and sponsorship"

This represents cash received prior to June 30 for sponsorship periods starting July 1 and for season tickets for the following year.

I don't recall from reading the accounts how they account for multi-season sponsorship amounts, but given MC's past behavior, I would think amortizing it into revenue evenly throughout the sponsorship period would make most sense.

There will be a colourful ending to this one...!

Base your decision to renew on whether you want to go or not - whether we get a refund or not is an issue to me. It'll be treated as a bonus if we do - but i'll not hold my breath.

The reason I asked somewhere back there if Ridsdale was in Cellino's pants is because this is something like what he did!..

Ridsdale was sure Leeds would make Europe again and drove the clubs finances into a team that couldn't do it and look what happened!..

Cellino is pushing the fans to pay up on next year's play off's, now, what are the chances of Leeds not getting there?..

I'd say the same as everyone's but hey, there are some strong teams waiting for the drop!..

Cellino's plan might be good on paper, but he know's better than anyone the finaces at Leeds and it could be make or break time!..

The club loses will there be enough to pay the tickets, if not it means the fans lose as well!..

I think Celino knows he will never honour this season ticket commitment, because he will sell Cook then after sell the club, knowing the new owner will have to honour it. It maybe is his parting gift to the fans.

So that on top of the 25% for the "GreedyFatHorses", it'll make it even harder to sell!..

"As many on here know, I referee, and at the age of 20, I'd much rather make a push and see how far I can go with that ..."

Good for you Pro, wish I had done that, just was not that viable in the United States when I was in my 20s.

Next time I come up to Leeds, it would be cool if I could make it work so that I could see you in action!

Regarding Vardy, it was interesting to hear the commentators call the dive and the resulting yellow card ahead of the referee and THEY GOT IT RIGHT!

Just follow the shouts of unhappiness at the decisions

Fans are naturally suspicious as the Big C has demonstrated, repeatedly that he tends to not keep his word, change his mind, backtrack, etc.

Caveat emptor and no-one should buy a ticket with this promise in mind. Its bound to end badly, but some may write this is an unfair assessment as he has not reneged on it yet.
