Could it be when he made the comments he meant what he said...?

That would make it not a lie.

And then since he made the comments something has happened (or he has found something he wasn't aware of when he made the comments) which has caused him to put on hold what he said he would do...?

I do have to agree with a comment earlier, surely there's better things to talk about, like three wins on the bounce followed by an honourable draw against a well fancied Hull team.

This conversation seems to be going around in circles.

For my part, I don't care whether he's lied or not, whether he meant what he said at the time or not, whether there are problems behind the scenes that I know nothing about or not. None of this matters at all.

But what DOES matter to me is this:

If someone repeatedly says they will do something and then doesn't, whether for a legitimate reason or not, then I start to question the other statements that they make.

Example: you have a mate that repeatedly cancels at the last minute when you're about to go out on a Friday night. Four weeks in a row. Every time his explanation - which you can't verify - sounds plausible, but could also be simply an excuse to hide another reason.

What happens? You naturally start to doubt his word when he's says he'll be joining you on the fifth week.

So, for me it's not about whether he meant it or not, or whether he lied or not, it's about whether fans can trust his statements.

And sorry, but his repeated statements about ER and his numerous court cases, mean that, no, I don't trust his statements.

I think its as simple as he don't want the stadium yet because if he pays with his money it'd be the same as giving 25% to Gfh!..

He takes the stadium on it'll be an asset and that means Gfh are entitled to their holding, so, Elland Road will stay on hold until one or the other go!..

Or until he has no choice but to buy!..

But he wants to shut his crapper and keep the stuff in that he cant keep up with, that way the crap won't hit the fan everytime he opens his mouth!..

And as Tedd says fans don't trust him and those that do are getting fewer!..

I think the point has been made now, you know nothing about buying ER.
I know you won't ever admit you're wrong but it's pretty clear you are.

The thing is nobody outside ER knows anything about buying ER, not unless they have anything to do with the dealings off ER!..

So, argue one side or the other, we'll still not know until it comes out, I mean some think Bates has his finger's in the cream, maybe there's something in that as well!..
