'cos we can't play any poorer. One team in it, against eleven strangers whose no.1 competition was to see who could give the ball away most. No cohesion, no skill, no commitment - great at passing back, and back, and back and ... - that's the poorest I've seen under Jurgen. Even Brandan at his worst put out a better team than that. Dreadful would be too kind a word to describe them.
The youngsters? With the exception of Danny Ward they showed us what they've got. And what they haven't. OK, it's one game but I didn't expect such an abysmal performance.
Rant over.

We'll play better on Thursday

Start Coutinho, Sturridge, Benteke and Firmino.
And then a solid Base of Milner and Lucas in midfield.

I expect Firmino to start as the false 9.
We will press them a lot more though and get more men in the box.
I'm not worried about us scoring. We will create plenty.
I'm more worried about being clinical when the chances come, and we need Lucas to be at his best to stop their counter attacks.
We will miss Can badly if Lucas is not at his best.

I expect Firminho to start as well. We need to score first and it doesn't matter too much if it's not an early goal, or indeed in the first half.
However, I hope the manager isn't reluctant to bring Sturridge on. As much as I believe Klopp is the ideal man for LFC, I do think he's a little slow to change things at times. I think we failed to try capitalise on a big opportunity to control the tie, by not bringing on Sturridge in Spain.
I would like to see Sturridge start the game, as Firmiho's form has dipped, but my guess he will want the pressing to start from the front, as it should. My worry is that if Sturridge doesn't start and comes on, he's in one of those huffy moods. Starting him might be the way to get the best out of him.

We have missed the likes of Can and Hendo a lot. The likes of Chirivela and Stewart would be playing less games.
We have lost vital players at the worst time. Its probably going to be our undoing. We have prioritised the Europa league but looking at the players available you wonder whether we really have enough to win it, leave alone challenging for top 4 at the same time.
Klopp has given it a good go IMO but has also made some mistakes, which is something that was guaranteed to happen anyway being in a new league, new players, coming in mid season to a team performing poorly and in need of a boost.
I think Klopp has gambled at times with formations and tactics and trusted players he otherwise wouldn't in certain situations etc. He's had to make it up as he goes along. Sometimes you get the idea like people think he should already have this master plan that should already be working like a well oiled machine and churning out results left, right and centre.
What's important is to learn from mistakes and improve. By this time next season it should be clear how far Klopp can take us.

Jesus some of you lot are depressing
A dead rubber sandwiched in between a European semi final where he played all the kids and they got taught a harsh lesson off a Swansea side that finally decided they actually want to play today.
Now apparently we've no chance against Villareal

This game didn't remotely change my opinion of the Villarreal game which is going to be incredibly difficult.
If we'd got an away goal I'd be very confident but we looked incredibly toothless in the away leg.

I don't agree we looked toothless.
We missed two great chances and were a bad offside call from creating another one. We also hit the post.
We need to score 1 goal (currently).
There's not many games since Klopp came in that we haven't scored, and even fewer where we haven't created good scoring chances.
They will make it hard for us of course and if they get a goal then it will be incredibly difficult.
Right now though, we need to score a goal.
We can do that.

And that's fine, but there are people on this thread who's opinion has changed due to this match.
That's insane
