Antenucci gone

And I've been saying it for over a season and it was backed up vs Charlton when Antenucci tried scoring from about 10cm's away from the goal line but about 10 yards wide with the option of passing to Wood and him tapping it into an open goal, he is greedy as ****.

I disagree.

2014-2015 season Redfearn decided to use Ant predominantly as a sub. And Redders played him on the wing at times when he did bring him on, even though he was and is an out and out goal scorer. Supply to the forwards was sh 1TE. I'm pretty sure all our forwards got frustrated that season with the state of things. And as one of them, I understand if he wanted to hog every paltry chance and half-chance he got. In the end, that squad managed 50 goals, of which Ant scored 10. He finished top scorer despite being tactically wasted.

We're just crap all round. And there's plenty of dross I'd rather have seen shipped out first. Sick note six episode was unforgivable. I understand the hate for that. But, not for him trying to do his job in a toxic, tactically inept club. And being the most capable at that time of doing so.

Batty, your post has jack all to do with what you quoted. I said he is greedy and you replied to that commenting on the supply to the forwards.

I have watched Antenucci for 2 seasons, regularly, pass up the opportunity to gift his team mates a goal, often at key stages in the game. I watched him turn down the opportunity at 1-1 vs Charlton to give Wood an open goal in order to instead shoot from a ridiculously narrow angle. He hit the side netting. This is not the only time he has been in a similar situation and refused to pass at key stages in the game. I've watched him do it when we've been losing and drawing. I have watched nearly every game he has played, and he is a greedy player.

If Bellusci follows him out the door that'll be both the gnomes gone!..

Redder's played him on the wing you say, I think a lot of player's at Leeds have been played out of position the last couple of years, so, monacoaches playing player's out of position that might have something to do with the fact the player's we have ain't good enough or the formation used not being right for the player's we have!..

But we mustn't forget Cellino's formation will have caused a lot of changes as well!..

I said if he's not had many chances in front of goal, and goal scoring is his thing, it might be the reason he's taking the chances he does have, however difficult to convert, because of frustration. Not knowing when the next opportunity is coming.

So you watching him makes it so? I doubt every fan whose watched him during his time here would say exactly the same as you. Add to that, I've seen nearly every forward since I started playing and watching football pass up a team mate for their own benefit.
I want my forward unafraid to shoot on goal. It's the nature of the position. Not hindsight.

You think he's greedy. I see him as extremely frustrated. Add him to the long list of Leeds players who feel the same.

I think it's laughable that he is being slated for being part of the sick note six by people who are raving about Silvestri

You'll find I'm his biggest slater. I don't need to even start on sixnote 6 to slate him.

I also forgot to mention the fact that he visible acted annoyed that it was Wood that took the penalty vs Preston and then refused to celebrate with him and walked off in a strop.

Let's be honest here, Antenucci won't be missed.

Let's get a striker in who can score goals at such a rate that the coach simply can't drop him, and then we can consign Wood to history as well.
