This is the second year in a row that they're in that top 7/8 teams in the league and that's really amazing because loads of teams sometimes fluke a high league finish one year and then end up mid-table or lower the next year. but the fact that Southampton have done it again shows that they really are at that level and I think Coman deserves so much credit for what he's done to Southampton. He has a really strong team with really really higher tier players like Forster, Mane, Fonte etc. and he's coped really well with losing so many important players in both Summer 2014 and Summer 2015. Southampton really are a club that have come up from nowhere to become a really strong team under Coman and I think they'll continue to be great as long as he stays there.

They were also very good under Poch, they have been an established Premier League side for a while.

Ye, that's true honour dude, but I think Coman's more impressive because of how he dealt with losing some of Southampton's best players. That would have destroyed most clubs but Southampton have still kept at the same level/maybe even improved slightly.

But finishing 7-8th twice only gets you a europa league spot twice (and they got knocked out in their 1st tie last time)
Whereas finishing 17th and then 1st wins you the league and a CL spot
