Hello folks. Remember me? I hope you are all keeping well.
My life for the last year has been a living hell but I am slowly but surely repairing the damage. The one thing that has helped me enormously has been my football. Every Saturday (and the occasional midweek game) I have had a purpose.
I am sat on the floor looking at the Championship league table in a daze. All those huge football clubs. And then there is the 3 who drop down from the Premier League. It is like a dream.
In 2009 at Torquay I was very nervous. Last season we were a promotion machine and it wasn't too painful. Today at Doncaster I was the most nervous I have ever been at a football match. Playing against a relegated and despondent looking 9 man Doncaster team should have settled my nerves. It didn't.
I look forward to being a regular contributor on the forum again in the future. If I ask nicely perhaps you will allow me to run a predictor competition. Anyone fancy a European Championship predictor to get us through the summer?
One final remark. That did just happen didn't it? I didn't imagine it? The Brewers did just get promoted to the Championship?

Otep welcome back so good to hear from you and are getting on top of bad phase and coming good again any predictor you promote will certainly include me .And what a season cannot get my head round it no nails left .
thought the albion got the tactics right on sun they knew what to do wonder if its possible for a TRIPLE PROMOTION

Great to hear from you and glad to hear you're getting your life back together and will be a regular contributor again. I'm useless at predictions, but am game for a predictor league.
As regards Albion's promotion. I'll always remember standing on the terraces at Barnet, March 1968 when we were hammered 6-0 and thinking we'll never, ever be a Football League club and now here we are going up to what was then Division 2 of the Football League.

I'm game for a predictor league as suggested. It will enable us to keep some interest going during the summer months although I suspect that there will be plenty going on at the Pirelli.

I'm as delighted with the Brewers promotion as I would be if it were my own team. It couldn't happen to a nicer group of fans. Next season you'll be playing Newcastle and Villa, what would the odds been on that just a few years ago!

I'll second that: good to have you back, Otep, and pleased to hear your life is getting back on track.
Well, it's been a week since we were promoted, and it's still not fully sunk in. Mind you, it's looking likely that the Brewers will be playing the Rams next season which would be totally awesome and almost unbelievable just a few years ago.
I, for one, would participate in a future predictor league, although I fully expect it to be much more unpredictable than the past few seasons.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank those who stepped up to the plate during Otep's absence to keep the predictor league going: steve1210, JFWqwerty, foxyfreddy, and Earwig (plus anyone else I've overlooked). It's been a great season.
Premier League, here we come!
