What idiot at ITV

I like Bittersweet Symphony but imo it just sounds out of place as the footie theme tune.

Love is noise by the Verve would be more appropriate

It's a world class song in my eyes. It works well for the football. I think love is noise suits Cricket. They played it yesterday at the end of the test match There the only songs by Verve I like. The rest are pretty meh!

I thought things were actually far worse when they used U2's Beautiful Day as their theme tune.

Isn't the tune an Andrew Oldham orchestra sample?

given ITV's general track record with live sport...that's probably one of their better decisions

Utter utter clowns ITV are. Can't get anything right, they should be banned from broadcasting all sport. Even Channel 5 do a better job than those cretins.
