Arsenal consistently have best keeper in PL

http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/news/news/2015-16/may/230516-bpl-goalkeepers-statistical-analysis.html
How do they do it. Its frustrating DDG had an average season in the premierleague otherwise we would have easily finished 2nd. If he didn't make those mistakes then we would have got 2nd like Bournemouth corner kick Sunderland freekick goal or those goals against west ham united well within reach..

Anyway Wenger knew his team are rubbish at defending so he got in the best keeper in the league. The 2 best keepers in the league at Arsenal. In fact Ospina had highest save percentage 2 seasons in a row

I find it funny DDG is one of the lowest rated keepers in the league but still walked the player of the season awards and team of the season. DDG plays in one of the worlds least reliant on keeper teams yet is praised like he is a one man defence. The media keep saying everything opposite to reality under LVG though so DDG reaped the benefits the most.

DDG first 2 seasons in charge in one of the worst defences in the league saved us lots of times and had highest save percentage over a lot of games. DDG last 3 seasons very few saves low save percentage=praised through the roof. While SAF was in charge he was a flop. Just shows you the control SAF had that a keeper that was sensational was being criticised. Now the keeper can flop and be praised like a one man defence.

I never understood why media used to compare DDG to Taibi and co in his first 2 seasons when he was by miles and statistically the best keeper in the league. Then next 3 seasons he wins the individual awards while being in teams that are very good defensively. Even Moyes side we like to troll was good defensively. 4th best under Moyes for shots on target against.

I used to find it funny when media used to regard DDG as a flop in his first 2 seasons.

The West Brom away game he was outstanding for majority of game, the Tottenham away game he was like a one man team that game but was heavily criticised Now it seems role reversal one save is enough to award DDG a 9 out of 10, before 8-10 saves and he was compared to Taibi and co.

I don't care

...........

Well you obviously do care, otherwise you would not mention it.

............

virtually every single day for some weird reason as if you have a crush on him.

.........

I am not that way inclined. You and Robb probably are.

It explains a lot, to be honest.

.................

He isn't my mate,

.............

I beg to differ. When ever someone is giving him grief, not just me, you are not far behind.

We've had some great keepers in Seaman, Mad Jens and Cech, but have had some awful ones as well like Almunia.

We have Mignolet.

Reading a Utd fan complain about De Gea is like hearing a banker complain that he doesn't know how to spend his multi-million pound bonus.

You have one of the best keepers in the world. My heart bleeds for you!

Mignolet made more saves in 2013/14 season at Liverpool in the league then DDG has done in any of his 5 seasons in the league at Man Utd although saves per game is a different matter especially in 11/12 season.

I find it funny DDG first 2 seasons he was sensational and was criticised despite being bust and 2 seasons in a row of a keeper to play many games to have highest save percentage. Moyes and LVG seasons he gets less busier each season and gets praised more and more. DDG got beaten by a corner by Bournemouth, a 30-40yd cross freekick by Sunderland, let in a few goals against West Ham United he should have saved. Got beaten in cup final to easily yet media like ESPN FC make it sound like he was extremely busy when his best work was closing down an attack late on and a long range save from Bolasie. Heck Norwich City away they kept going on about DDG save straight at him for whole game as how extremely reliant we are on DDG

Heck even scored an OG. He basically lost the game by himself against Sunderland.

In truth, however, there aren’t many goalkeepers who stand up to scrutiny. David De Gea is the Premier League’s best - but who else in the Premier League inspires such confidence?

Hugo Lloris has his doubters, Petr Cech is past his best and Thibault Courtois has struggled for form and fitness this season.
.........
this is what I mean. Cech was sensational this season but is past his best DDG plays in one of the best sides in the world at restricitng opposition from shots on target and is amazing. Wenger most likely would have been sacked without Cech doing significantly better then most goalkeepers. He was easily the best keeper in the league this season.

Masochism. Failure to spot it cost LVG his job.
