Rosicky - Perfect player for Arsenal

'Tomas Rosicky joined the Gunners for an estimated £8million from Borussia Dortmund in 2006, but a string of injuries limited him to only 246 appearances in 10 years.' - Goal

You can make joke out of his injury record and lack of match time but he truly was perfect player for Arsenal. At his best he would inject dynamic, fast flowing, sexy football also he was never afraid to get stuck in with perfect tackles and those lethal long rage shoots.

This guy was seriously good but so unfortunate to never be able to play consistently to reach those heights he was capable of. Also big loss for Arsenal, us fans and football itself to have such a fantastic player out injured so many times.

I hope someday we will find player with similar attribute with less injury time. It was magical watching him at his peak. All the best to him.

Wenger :

"He had all the football qualities to play the game we love to play here, and I would say Tomas Rosicky was the perfect player for Arsenal," Wenger told the club's official website.

"It will always be a frustration he didn't play more games because first of all Tomas was an exceptional talent. I personally, like we all do here, love the player. The standing ovation he gets every time he walks out there tells you a lot.

"We love the man as well, and his attitude, and his exceptional class and qualities. It's sad that he's leaving, but I must say, for me it was a privilege to manage him.

"He makes it look very easy when he's playing. He has a quality - when the ball comes to him the game suddenly becomes a bit quicker, more incisive, more mobile."

'when the ball comes to him the game suddenly becomes a bit quicker'

That was the key with him. Turned our season around twice in the new year in recent seasons.

Yeah, he had that urgency of making things happen rather just passing the ball. And he was always, always going forward. Hardly any sideway or back passes.

Never understood the hype. Good player but nothing special after so many injuries.

Rosicky very overrated.

Pretty player to watch but on a similar level to the likes of Hleb and Nasri. Should never be included in comparisons with the likes of Cesc & Ozil.

He was a good player but I think there is a bit of looking back with rose tinted glasses here. Not in the same league as the likes of Henry, Bergkamp, Pires, Lundberg, Vieira, etc.

We will never know how good he would have been for us simply because he was always injured. Can't help but think our medical staff ruined him.

Rosicky Diaby, Vermaelen and now most likely Wilshere all ruined. Can you think of any other top club where this has happened to numerous players?

Yeah, I had similar thoughts as well, this is serious issue and loss for the club, player and football too. If only Wenger would once again innovate and adapt to new tactics that other club has been using to transform their fitness level among players aka Poch with Spurs, Ranieri with LCFC

Its such a shame really..

I've always been a big fan of his. Really under-appreciated and it's a shame what happened to him.
