I know he's a laughing stock in this country and most deem his time at United a failure but he actually did a decent job imo and his philosophy was clear but just at the wrong club.
If you watch United closely you could see there was a plan his style is very similar to what is played in the Bundesliga/LaLiga. Tactical structured football, he didn't have enough time to put it in practice which was the real shame.
I think him and Wenger are actually the same level as coaches but Arsenal would benefit more from his tactical instruction whereas in the past 3 years United could've done with Wenger getting a low-quality team top 4. A swap would've suited both clubs before Jose was a possibility.
LVG had a clear plan and was specific, he wanted a a balance of left-footers and right-footers, build from the back. Blind is better on the ball than Kos and has more options available to him when bringing the ball out.
Martial as a wide-forward worked well, I got what he wanted to do with Mata as a wide creator and let's not go into the batch of young players he enhanced.
He was at the wrong club, who pride theirselves on quick direct pacy football. Arsenal was the right move for him as our players are more about technique and build-play but clearly have little structure.
There's no philosophy at Arsenal LVG's style is very foreign and the hatred his football got here is why many don't like watching foreign leagues. It's usually a slow build game.
It may even take some a while to warm to Pep's City team initially as he's not an end-to-end coach.
People will laugh this off as LVG was an easy target to laugh at but he's brought through more academy players than Wenger has in the last 5 years and won the cup which Wenger took 9 years to retain.
One has won the CL and the other hasn't so it proves who's the superior tactician. Also has a better head-to-head in the league which is embarassing considering we were a much more settled club during his reign.
LVG > Wenger
Would even bring him in for a year or 2 this summer until Tuchel is ready. Wenger is miles behind in modern football.
LVG Was A Better Fit For Arsenal

The PL have never had a 'head to head' rule like La Liga so unsure of the point you are trying to make?

Interesting article, but I assume you're on the wind up?
If you want to look forward to the dentist more than Saturdays watching your team, get him in. Wenger's different class mate.

He's a better coach than Wenger period already achieved half of what Wenger has in the last 10 years in just 2.

I know you work hard at being a moron so I hate to rise to it, but Wenger's achievements in the last 10 years go far beyond those 2 FA Cups. And even you know that.

False, top 4 is a very basic achievement considering we competed against Everton/Spurs/Villa during that time. The only impressive feat is the consistency of gaining top 4 as we had VERY close calls.
Barring that Wenger did nothing special post-Highbury and he's spun the achievements in a great way to protect his legacy.
So in truth 2 FA Cups and a 4th place finish on average in the last decade is pathetic.
LVG has had a better career and is a better coach

We get it. You don’t rate AW, and no amount of debate is going to change your mind.
But why the need to continually regurgitate the same rhetoric over and over again reinforcing your (already known to all) view?

There's a clue as to what I was getting at in your own words: The phrase "post-Highbury".
And, as pointed out, that "basic" top 4 achievement is something LVG did not achieve this year.

I like the fact LVG in premierleague era rarely won away but when he did he won at grounds you wouldn't expect like at the etihad or anfield this season.
