Jose in for Pogba?

The Times reporting that Jose is considering a move for Pogba, who has supposedly been unofficially put on the transfer list by Juve as they look to cash in. After the BBC, The Times is for me the most reliable on transfer news, so there could be something in this.

There is no denying he'd be a great signing I think we'd all be happy to see him arrive. I just wonder how it might go down with SAF? Would it put his nose out of joint? I can imagine that, aside from Pogba's ability, that Jose might like the signing as a way of showing his authority from the off and that he isn't going to be pressured by SAF or SBC etc. If he is going to turn the club around he needs to take that approach in my opinion.

BTW, Barcelona is a beautiful city as is the surrounding area, I usually visit at least once a year. The food, drinks, nature, history art, architecture are all stunning. I haven't been to Valencia but I couldn't see how it could compare. I've heard it's very nice though.

If Pogba goes to England his club will be Chelsea. I'm 99% sure of this.

If Jose is going to be a success at United he needs complete authority over his singings. We have seen how things went wrong at Chelsea when that wasnt the case. If he doffs his cap and bends his knee to SAF et al then it isn't going to work out in my opinion. I'm suggesting he should go out of his way to be awkward or seek confrontation, but the Pogba signing would be a reasonably subtle way of flexing his muscles.

You don't know how football clubs and management works

Yes because there is never meddling from higher up in the power chain at football clubs or big businesses in general. It must be great living in Disney land.

Don't get your knickers in a twist because you said a daft thing lad. Last thing anyone wants is for Jose to ce in thinking he has something to prove. Moyes did that and ended up getting rod of all our title winning coaching staff.

You've seemed to suggest that there aren't any power struggles in football clubs or management in general yet I've said something daft? Did you used to be Nolhman?

Doubt it would happen now. Probably missed that boat, last year was our best chance to sign him. I hope I am wrong though.

Go find where I've done that and copy paste it here.

And when you can't find it anywhere, learn to think before you post stuff so you don't look daft again.

No I didn't. He's United We Win.

In that case, what was your comment about not having a clue about how football clubs and management works all about?

posted on 31/5/16

It's self explanatory. If you think Jose has to go in and show our board who's boss, you don't understand how football management works. Our board are eager to back Mourinho's decisions, he doesn't have to arrive with a point to prove. Just meet his targets and represent the club the way it deserves. We did after all terminate LVG's contract a year early days after an FA cup win to get Jose. So the premis of the OP is daft.

Who appointed Jose? Was it Ed or SAF? And I haven't suggested that anyone on the board wants Jose to fail. Just that they may wish to try and exert some of their authority over him. All you have to do is take a look at Jose's past management career to see that these kinds of influences from above do occur. You are living in a dreamworld if you don't think that kind of thing happens.

Good luck in controlling Jose. We know he can be a lose Cannon if things don't go his way.
