Deeney

If Leicester sign this guy for £30m then they are an embarrassment to football.

I know there is an inflation on signing English players and players in general in the Premier League due to the new TV rights deal.

But Troy Deeney for £30m??? Troy Deeney??? Not only is he bang average, he turns 28 next week!!!

This would be the worst transfer in the history of football and I can't believe Leicester are doing it.

Also Michael Keane for £11.5m? You'd think after winning the league you'd push on and try and sign some top players but Leicester obviously want to p*ss all their money on rubbish and go back to fighting relegation.

He's proven himself in the Premier League now so probably a better bet than spending that much on someone from abroad who isn't and could be a flop like Inler and Kramaric.

Liverpool spent £32m on Benteke and he's been rubbish. City spent £28m on Bony and he's been rubbish and they also spent £49m on Sterling who isn't even a footballer.

=====
So even Premier League proven players can flop

They can and will if they don't suit the style of play and that was the problem with both. Benteke and Bony are good players but they don't suit their current teams. Deeney will suit our style of play.

His hold up play and presence is perfect for a striker like Vardy (who is a better version of Ighalo) so hopefully they sign Deeney and play them together

That would be the thinking I would imagine, he'd replace Okazaki. I think Vardy and Deeney would be a really good combination.

Tbf I think it is an well established opinion that Manchester United are an embarrassment to football, so bringing up Fellaini and the other big money flops is not really relevant

Embarrassment?

How many years have Arsenal been trying to win the CL now?

Watford rate him very highly because he's the glue that holds them together and they don't want to sell that's why he's £30m. It's not that £30m is his market value but he's worth it to them.

He's got a brilliant attitude, is a natural leader, works really hard, is completely selfless, scores goals and creates them as well. He scored 13 and assisted seven for Watford so imagine what he could do at Leicester. If he scores 15 and assists 10 then he'll be well worth it and I would back him to do that playing for us. He'll be a good signing, he'll fit well in our team, we can afford it and it's not my money so I don't care if he's £5m or £30m. He's proven himself in the Premier League now so probably a better bet than spending that much on someone from abroad who isn't and could be a flop like Inler and Kramaric. We've also wanted him for several years now so our scouts obviously think he's worth it and will benefit our team. Like others have said, I trust them.

Keane is a good young player and he's one for the future and when you talk about £50m for Stones who can't defend then it's a snip really. Morgan and Huth will be first choice again and he'll be a squad player but one who has the potential to be part of the team in the future. He'd be a good signing as well.

well put,
The Op wouldnt bat an eylid if they went 30m for some joe foreigner

Basically for the Op Troy deeney is not good on fifa therefore hes not good

Op also forgets they won the league with Jamie Vardy as their top scorer,
Jamie Vardy formerly of Halifax town, a player whom arsenal bid 22m for

As a Walsall fan I'm hoping this is true and actually happens as we get 25%
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It says Arsenal on your profile.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I follow both teams equally. Walsall is my hometown and regularly go tp their games. Arsenal are just the first team i picked as a kid and the Premierleague club i love the most
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ahhhhh. Yet another Arsenal plastic then, thanks for clearing that up
----------------------------------------------------------------------
says it all.

I wanted to support a popular club
