Germany

Not Leeds related, but...

Not sure about everyone else, but, I've had it
with England until the current FA regime is gone.
Every last particle of the clueless prats that
have been there in the fifty years since we won
the World Cup.

Iceland were the better team last night. Period.

Germany set the standard for modern football
twenty plus years ago. They ruthlessly chucked
everything they knew out the window and reinvented
themselves. The Germans for crying out loud.
One of the most prolific teams in world football.
They are now enjoying crop after crop of world-beaters.

Chile adopted their methods by employing top
coaches from Argentina and certifying a huge number
of coaches. They combined the German and
Argentinian thinking. Back-to-back Copa Americas.

Now we see the fruit of both Wales and Iceland's
overhauls. No coincidence. Go read up on what
Iceland have done over the last fifteen years.
Brilliant. Fruit now evident. What Iceland are doing
is no fluke. Despite Ronaldo's whining.

And it proves that, no matter your nation's size,
if you commit to an overhaul and do it with belief
and discipline, it pays off.

Now's the time to throw every coaching manual
that the FA has created onto a fire. Do-over time
just like Germany did. Otherwise, the definition of
madness should be the FA's new motto.

Sick of it. Rant over.

Bizarre right the way up until something happens!..

"Maybe we wouldn't have to spend as on fat fookers on the Nhs, or as much on police for crime

If we spent more on school sports."

At some point the law of diminishing return kicks in. I don't think one can demonstrate that more money spent on school sports would have that effect in a measurable way.

I thought the Government had so much put aside for schools and it was upto each school to spend it the best way they could on what they think is needed?..

Why should school sport be funded by the government when the ones that are making on it is TV?..

TV made football what it is, a ripping off money machine, so, while they're making on it they should help to maintane it, if the Government do its just helping them fill their coffers!..

But the government are making miles more than the clubs !!!!!!

Take vat out of tickets and sky, and all the paye

It runs into billions

So why shouldn't the government put it back in to sport which will save them money in the long term

I answered this question for you above.

I doubt that incremental spending would do that. Even if it did, I doubt you could prove it, just ask Perth.

LIW, as far as I know, schools get a fixed sum and the people that run them,(council or board or whatever!)spend it on what is most needed for the school, so something to do with sport or repairing the roof, its up to them!..

When they need more money they can ask for it!..

So, sports equipment for the school, I don't think they're going to spend it just on football, there are other sports that need funding as well!..

Sky v the Government, its a simple answer which I have already said, why should the Government use the tax payers money to fund football and help one off the richest organisations on this planet get richer?..

All sport has its own people running it, they should help pay for the sport in school, that way they are helping to fund future talent for their own needs!..

TV makes more money out off football than anything, why do you think they're after each others blood when they bid for the rights?..

Odd that one, I was home last January, I asked my Mother what happened to the old Police station as its now a Museum, couldn't believe it when she said it'd been moved to Bradford!..

So much for maybe not paying so much on the Police, if something kicks off how long would it be before the Police get there?..

Should have a force in every town, maybe that'd save money and maybe even lives!..

Mind you, the so called "fat fookers" as you like to call them, they also have a right to live!.
