Well we have a new manager and I have been waiting for comments regarding his standing from the fans on the forum and to date they have been very sparse or almost non existent. It's hardly surprising as we haven't yet seen a team of his in action. However I did expect more comments on whether fans think he might be a good or bad choice.

I have just read the article in the Beano regarding him wanting back up for Amos which I think we all consider essential. What really struck me was that he goes on to talk about unifying the players that are already in situ, the three new lads and himself and his team that he has brought with him from Bradford.

I have to say that my first thoughts are that he talks a lot of common sense. Hopefully he will prove to be a decent manager for us and although I don't expect him to rip up any trees in his first season, I'm optimistic that he will prove to be better than the last three managers that we have had to endure.

Only time will tell how he will cope with the restrictions that will be forced upon him but in relation to that, he will be in a far better position than Lennon was. He has signed two players with a third set to sign and who knows, he may be able to sign more before the window closes at the end of August. At least that is what he is expecting.
