newcastle lost 6-1 to orient few years back then tore it up.

Agreed rich, I never bother too mush with results, it's working on match fitness, trying out formations and avoiding injuries.

I went to the game last night and will be there on Saturday. Agree with Side's assessment, seemed to give away the ball too often. But hey, it's the first game in pre-season. Interesting trying out dave as CB in the 1st half then Murphy in the second....

Yes Gelderd. It's early to say how things will pan out. But there were signs of a squad gelling last night. They were playing from the back, passing, trying one two's etc......a lot didn't go to plan and went astray but it is pre-season and should be seen as a testing out period.
Good to see some of the youngsters playing and seeing what they are like. Problem is I don't know them, only their names.

We didn't win last season in pre season until Everton C. So a win last night is a positive on that front. I'm going to the Peterborough game next Saturday which will give us a bit better indication as posh are a decent league 1 side
