Rob Holding has officially signed for arsenal, undisclosed fee on a long term contract. Good luck rob. Be interesting to see what happens now. Wheater to re sign, greer? On rob is he going to be part of the arsenal first team squad or just loaned out? Just hope he develops well there and not disappear into obscurity.

I think Holding and Chambers will both stay and be part of the first team. If you consider that Jenkinson will probably not be fit until around Christmas, and we do not know whether or not he is part of Wenger's plans anyway. Also Debuchy will almost certainly go (sold or contract termination). Then we have 8 defenders which is the perfect amount (2 for both full back positions, and four for CB, with some versatility) :
Koscielny (CB)
Gabriel (CB)
Mertesacker (CB)
Chambers (CB/RB)
Holding (CB/RB)
Bellerin (RB)
Monreal (LB)
Gibbs (LB)
I don't think we can really risk sending anyone on loan. Remember the meltdown two seasons ago when we went into the season with seven defenders. Perhaps if Jenkinson is fit by Christmas and the squad is in good health, one of the younger lads will go on loan.

Think Chambers needs to go on loan for his own good. He won't get anywhere playing wherever he's needed when we're short. Needs a season of regular football to develop. Use Bielik as 5th choice

It's as good a time as any for a young CB to fight his way into the Arsenal squad.
Mertesacker and Koscielny are over 30, and their age has began to show. Gabriel is also yet to cement his position.
It's all set up for Chambers and Holding to make a name for themselves at a big club over the next year or two.
