Moyes joins Sunderland

Happy for him. Hope he succeeds and does well.

I just hope he has learned from his United experience.

I was reading that Big Sam had deals in place for M'Vila and Micah Richards. Let's see if Moyes vetoes the deals.

I fully expected Sunderland to finish mid table, now I'm not so sure.

I expect a rendition of "Come on David Moyes" to be ringing round Old Trafford when we play Sunderland.

moyes will keep them up, that's what his style of football is best suited to.

I still to this day cannot fathom why he got the utd job!

I hope so. But Moyes almost relegated Everton as well I believe

when he first joined Everton where involved in relegation dog fights every season, had been for years.

with time and little money he stabilised them and led them to mid table.

Sunderland have a better infrastructure, more money, newer bigger ground. I think he'll do what Sunderland want and lead them away from flirting with relegation every year but won't win anything!

We were never in a relegation dogfight under moyes, even the year we finished 17th we were safe with maybe 5 or 6 games to go then lost the rest of our matches!!

Genuinely glad for him though, one of the good guys.

Another team that's just gonna sit back, purposefully ruin the pitch and kill the game of football, excellent.

I think he will do very well, he is a good manager and is with a team that will suit him.
If he can have long enough for it to be his team I expect them to be top ten every year.

Good move for both, Moyes gets a club with a bit of potential, they get an experienced manager who will guide them away from yearly relegation battles and into mid-table, good luck to him

Also, Moyes never "nearly relegated" Everton, he took over from Walter Smith towards the end of the season when they were in a relegation battle and kept them up.

Hope he succeeds

Sunderland will be finally be relegated after years of struggle staying in the prem

Moyes took us to our lowest point total ever but we were never in any real danger of relegation because of the points the three teams below us had. That season was the one major blip with us, he averaged something like 6 or 7th with us.

He will do well at Sunderland, probably have them a top 8 side within a couple of seasons

One more year under Bobby you would have achieved that feat

A much better choice than Steve Bruce!
