We didn't capitalise on the success from a coaching or player development point of view IMO.

Technically skill-full players and strong management gave way to kick and rush, players being rejected by clubs for being too small , weak management picking injured players and shoe-horning big names at the behest of team chemistry.

I'm fed up of hearing about '66 tbh, I just don't care about it anymore, frustrates me that we didn't build on it, if anything, it's like we deliberately went against everything that helped win the WC in the first place.

Forza you plank... What you on about?....The regular suspects win/do well in the WC wherever it's held ....all hosts who have not been top teams have had no chance .... Such as Mexico S Africa Chile Japan S Korea Switz etc. Germany Italy Brazil Argies win because they are the best not because they are at home... Same for England in 66
