A routine victory away to Ross County gets Dundee's title bid off to a fantastic start, but seeing as none of the other title challengers have played yet, it is hard to judge how big a result it is.
In the day's other games there was a fantastic point for The Rangers in their first ever top flight match, holding an established top level team and relegation rivals, Hamilton Academicals. Massive 6 pointer that one, so a point may prove to be crucial come the end of the season as remember 2nd bottom is a play off place.
All eyes will be on the big match at Dens Park next weekend which will affect both the top and bottom of the table. Fans of Celtic and Aberdeen will be hoping that The Rangers can pull off a shock result against runaway leaders Dundee.
In lower league news, Queen of the South were held by another team from Dundee.
