Was he the weak link against QPR when he didn't get on the pitch? Changed the game against Fleetwood and started out of position against Birmingham, and was a sub against Fulham.

When used right, he's a good player.

Bizarre claim that Mowatt is the weak link.

Does he account for our lack of defensive leadership?
How about last of defensive midfield cover?

He's far from perfect but if you play him in the hole you have a man who will win us some points.

Agree Yorkie

Really hoping Pontus brings some steel to the CB area.
Ayling I like a lot. And part of me thinks if Charlie sees
improvement through the addition of Pontus/Bartley/Ayling/Bridcutt in overall defensive play, he might feel
happier (on the pitch at least). Pie in the sky, I know.
Just feel like improvement on the pitch might get him fired up again. After all of the bollox he's had to put up with off the pitch and all that. He may still decide he wants out in January. He doesn't look happy these days.
Can't blame him either.

Mowatt is a weak link. Has no right foot, no pace and no stamina.

Lubo no offence but that's a crazy statement. I didn't realise you had to be two footed to be a good footballer. Was he not played of the year before last?

Not his biggest fan but played in the right position he's good.

But there's always a chance that he'll hit a ball that comes his way sweetly and to good effect .. he's an asset

Mowatt has to have the team playing to his strengths.

centre Midfield - gets walked over
Wing - might as well send him to walk back down the tunnel

BUT that 15 square yard area just right of centre 'D' and technically he, even with frustrating lack of pace, can mix it with most in this League.

I don't want to play a player purely for the off chance he may hit a ball well. If he is in a defensive scenario and it falls to him on his right foot then he is a liability. Happened a few times last year and I distinctly remember conceding from one.

He is the kind of player that has to be carried. We can't afford a player like that.
