He did used to be on the books of Leeds United, he's held up a post office and it's been reported in a Leeds based newspaper, telling Leeds/Yorkshire based stories.

I totally get the link - and it's relevant as it's been quoted as part of the trial.

Always seems far too diplomatic where the regime at Elland Rd is concerned and a lot of it's LUFC Coverage is banal and pointless just to fill Pages.

Also It's Web pages always seem to lock up - Johnsons Newpaper Group let's have a YEP we can be proud of again please.

The web pages locking up is probably the adverts - I found everything worked more smoothly after installing adblock plus (which is free).

I remember when this lad at my old school was stabbed, and the YEP reported it as "Leeds United starlet stabbed" when the kid was kicked out the academy for bad behaviour a few years earlier. Anything for a headline.

I wouldn't eat any chips that had been wrapped in YEP.

If it the Leeds link was mentioned during the trial then its understandable that YEP reported it. However why make it the deadline? Its what he is doing now not what he used to do that is more relevant.

....but God only knows what having chips in beef dripping, when I was a kid have done ? - Bloody amazing taste if I remember though.
