I am currently reading The Last Champions by Dave Simpson, charts the period 1989 to 1993 but mostly focuses on 91/92.
Dave talks to various figures who played a role in the title winning season. Unfortunately some are no longer with us like Leslie Silver and Speedo. Some are a tad reclusive like Batty, Chris White and Rod Wallace.
When you think of that side you think of the midfield, Possibly Chapman up front or the centre back pairing but there were others such as John McLelland, Chris Kamara, Mike Whitlow, Carl Shutt, Vinnie Jones, Imre Varardi and Mel Sterland. All of them integral to a great squad yet largely they go unheralded. Steve Hodge, Tony Dorigo, Jon Newsome, that was a great squad.
I wonder which other Leeds players down the years have gone unheralded

Newsome can't have featured for more than a handful of games when we won the old first division.

Newsome's goal against Sheffield Utd was something else though, although my favourite was the legendary Brian the blunt blade Gale - best own goal in history ( but not the silliest wee St Gordon owns that one in 92 Charity Shield.)
