Just because he occasionally ventures over the half way line doesn't make him a box to box. People are too obsessed with DM's having to be a Makelele-replica of constantly being in front of the back 4

If Flamini is not a DM then DM's basically don't exist.

He could be a good signing if he's utilized properly I think. He still has something to offer, just not at the top level and not every week anymore.

Should get a couple of goals against Spurs too

Flamini is box to box. He more than occassionally ventures over the halfway line - one of the biggest problems when Wenger tried to use him as a DM in his second spell was the fact he ventured forward far too often.
Same thinking as those who like to label Vieira a DM. Just cos a midfielder tackles doesn't make him a DM.
