Arsenal Camaraderie and Leaders

That was as close to a perfect team performance as Iong as I can remember. I know the narrative today is how chelsea are in crisis but its not like Chelsea did not break though the lines, they actually did a number of times, they just met a committed Coq, Kos and Mustafi who were awesome in defence. The coordination and the way each member covered for each other. Some outstanding recovery tackles by Bellerin, Gibbs and Theo.

But what stood out was the maturity and the leaders we have in the team now.Just listening to Theo in the post match interview you realise that some may laugh at his 10 years at the club(me included) but he is a better and smarter player.

Then you have Kos who leads by example, a simply outstanding player. This guy was kicked in the face 2 weeks back, had no pre season, tweaked a muscle in his first game but still doing the business. Many wondered why Rio calls him the best CB in the league but when you see Cahill (England vice-captain) lose the ball to a one man press you start to understand that our taste in defenders varies.Chelsea fans prefer the Luiz's and Cahills of this world. We good with Kos.

But I was also impressed with Mustafi, who was my man of the match with Sanchez. His recovery pace is outstanding and he times his tackles perfectly. He slides in a lot but unlike Otamendi (who does it a lot) ,Mustafi doesnt miss.

He is also great in the air and is a leader in my opinion. You throw in the likes of Xhaka and Coq we suddenly have leaders throughout the pitch. Then there is so much camaraderie among the group, the french players, The spaniards and the young british players. The banter between Ox, Bellerin(pretty much brit), Iwobi is so good to watch.

A lot to come from this group of players.

You could have written the exact same article when we flattened United 3-0 last season.

I'm not saying don't get excited, but we really have seen all of this before.

It's good to see Kos thriving in his role as a more experienced player with more responsibility.

He never quite hit the heights he could when his achilles problems started up and I was worried he'd never get back to his best, but so far this season (and at the Euros) he's looking like he's almost back to that level.
