Ricciardo tips Nico

Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo has tipped Nico Rosberg to beat Lewis Hamilton to the drivers' title this year.

"Before the summer break when Lewis made up that deficit on Nico, I thought no one was going to touch Lewis, but Nico has come back," Ricciardo said in an interview on Sky Sports' website. "But I've got to pick one, haven't I? I'm going to throw a spanner in the works and say Rosberg [will win the title]."

Ricciardo has joined Hamilton and Rosberg on the podium at three of the last four races, but admits the atmosphere is sometimes a bit tense.

"It's awkward for me because it's so silent!" he joked. "I don't like silence too much, so I'm like trying to either talk to myself or make conversation with them, but they're happy to enjoy the awkward silence. It's quite fun!"

Danny doing some wumming. I make no apologies for being a Hamilton fan and for the championships sake we do not want Lewis to destroy Nico like he did last year.

However, when you look long and hard at Nico this year, besides Australia, Singapore and Baku, all the races he's won have the same question mark. Would he have won if Lewis did not have issues.

Not fair, I know but it makes one wonder.

So who do you think will win the title this year? Lewis or Nico?

Next three tracks are cast-iron Lewis tracks, one would imagine without mechincal failures (or bad start from Pole) will have raw race pace to beat Nico.
Might be enough to dampen Nico' spirit again, if he wins all three.

Malaysia yes, Japan was his first win at Suzuka last year and the US, sure.

If he nails the start or even if he is just behind Nico, you know he will win

One of the downsides of SKY coverage is their hyping up of everything.

When I look at the last 3 races Nico has won;

1. Spa - Hamilton started from back of the grid
2. Monza - Mercedes claim there was a problem with the clutch
3. Singapore - Had a torrid FP session

I want a battle for the championship but they need to calm down a wee bit.

It's all over imo. Never mind what Nico has scored in the last few GP's.
Hamilton is faster. He knows he's faster and Nico knows he's faster.

For a reference, look up Senna v Prost.
Game over insert coin IMHO.
