Sam Allardyce Resigns

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37483344

Was it right that he went?

Will Hodgson accept his apology?

So who should the next England manager be?

Who in their right mind would take on the job?

We'll end up being stuck with Bruce or Southgate.

Only the English!! I'm not saying I think he's good enough to be England coach but only the English are so stupid to cause our own troubles. I remember a few years back, before they had won anything, Luis Aragones the Spain manager basically called Eto'o a monkey and was extremely racist - nobody batted an eyelid. Allardyce basically bigging himself up and we make it a national issue!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Henry, not Eto'o - during a training ground 'pep talk' with Reyes whilst the latter was in Henry's shadow at Arsenal.

Eto'o absolutely adored Aragones, more than once said he was like a father to him. In this particular instance (the Henry affair), Eto'o said "If there's anyone who isn't racist, that's Luis [Aragonés]. If anyone stands up for black people, it's him. When I speak with Henry, I'll tell him Aragonés isn't like that."

Of course there's racism in Spain, just as there is in every other country. What's shockingly absent is a widespread notion of political correctness.

"Who in their right mind would take on the job"?

Indeed. However there are plenty of managers out there who are not in their right mind. You've got to be a couple of marbles short of a full set to go into football management in the first place.
Paulo di Canio will do it.

Pigs at the trough the lot of them…..snouts in just trying to guzzle more down.
Allardyce has just opened up a can of worms for the rest of them….I'm sure they are livid with him….maybe just paid him a load more to keep his big fat trap shut.

If I could pick anyone, I'd give the job to Eddie Howe.

Young, ambitious, plays exciting football, knows how to make teams overachieve.

Things are bad when Leeds managers last longer than England managers.

No great loss! He would have been found out when we get to the WC.

My choice would be Wenger. He needs a new challenge and knows how to play good football.

Have we got the players though?

Seems like Allardyce being let off lightly in some quarters.

People like him thinking that they can do whatever they like regardless of the rules means that players get exploited and ultimately the fans pay for it.

Now Allardyce is trying to say he was just trying to help out an agent who was down on his luck, pathetic.

Review walked out on England, did nothing illegal yet has been vilified for years, yet here we have a man mocking his peers and openly talking effectively about corruption in the FA that he can exploit and people are excusing it.
