Dundee v Celtic Preview

Good hi,

Celtic de Glasgow take on Dundee de Dundee in what is being billed as the battle of Britain.

Celtic laboured to a disappointing draw midweek against a team who could only finish 4th in a corrupt league, despite having the most money.

Manchester City, a team Dundee thrashed 2-0 in a more apt battle of Britain (when Man City were actually champions) conceded more goals in the first five minutes of their game against Celtic than Dundee have conceded against Celtic in over a year.

Scotland's top team has often been accused of signing former players of the league's smaller clubs in order to stifle the competition, but Darren O'Dea and Paul McGowan hardly even get games for Dundee, so do not benefit the country's top team in any significant way.

A common theme in Scottish football though is a player not making it at one of the top Scottish clubs, making a big impact at one of the league's minnows. Celtic's Leigh Griffiths is a perfect example of this, after failing to make the cut at giants Dundee, he has thrived in a weaker side, in his time at Celtic.

Here's a list of celebrities who were alive to see Celtic last score against Dundee (coroners say they died waiting):

Lemmy fae Motorhead
David Bowie
Alan Rickman
Terry Wogan
Frank Sinatra Jr
Paul Daniels (Couldn't work that much magic)
Ronnie Corbett
Prince
Others
(RIP)

Everything points towards a big Dundee victory, but the beauty of football is that anything can happen.

I hope Celtic fans enjoy their big away day, regardless of how many Dundee put past them, as it must just be good to be there playing against Europe's elite and seeing world class players play.

Fond regards.

Agreed.. hilarious. But he better be careful if he does something similar when the rangers are going up there.

They'll be calling him a dull obsessive in-bread dundee feenyin bassa and demanding that the club 2012 guys issue another statement.
