Would you give Mowatt a new contract?

Contract is up at the end of the season and it doesn't look like a new one is coming his way. He really seems at the crossroads of his Leeds career. Out of form and out of position for the second season running and can't see him breaking into the team unless there's a few injuries.

I really like him as a player, but he's got to be played in the right position for a consistent run of games. If he can't be played there, there's no point either forcing him into the team or wasting him on the bench.

Would you resign him, or let him go either in January or end of the season?

Has he ever been fit enough to do himself justice? He always looks to be blowing out of his ar$e to me.

pretty sure all shirt numbers describe a position.

----------------------------------------

In the modern game players more often have squad numbers. Gone are the days were a 1-11 (bar the keeper and defence perhaps) strictly define where they play.

Diagoraga/Dougara/Diagouraga.......... Dave ....... has squad number 4 - historically a centre back number. If not banished to cleaning the toilets he's a central midfielder. Berardi, in many eyes our first choice right back, is 28.

It wasn't a daft comment at all.

Not a daft comment but misguided.

Number 1
Number 2
Number 3
Number 7
Number 9
Number 10

It's actually a recent thing that numbers have become standalone to the position.

I think the lampard role describes his position perfectly. He could play as the attacking role if Pablo is out, but no reason they couldnt play together although would be quite lightweight.

If he had some pace and agility, Mowatt would be first name on the teamsheet. In terms of ability, hes great.
