The stats PROVE Walcott is different...

Walcott IS playing better than he's ever played for us before, not only is he staying in the game much more but his defensive work has immeasurably improved. It is his ATTITUDE that is different - people who say he had periods like this before when not injured are just wrong - as Martin Keown points out :-

"He has also increased his defensive work and has already made more tackles (14) in the league in 2016-17 than in the two previous campaigns combined (11).
It is like the Gunners only had half a player - until now."

Can he and will he keep it up ?
I don't know, I'm sceptical a player can permanently change like this after 10 years, but he deserves credit for looking in the mirror and making the attempt, so let's not pretend what we are seeing is the old Theo Walcott of the last 10 years who is just in form - it clearly isn't...

"Why would you need stonewell evidence?"

Simply because the accusation is so serious - and I don't think it's obvious either - such insinuations are not productive at all.

I take my lead from Gordon Brown. The only way to expose ppl who express such views, hidden or otherwise is to expose when you see it.

AOC was crap in the first half, though. His goal, and Ludogorets giving up, turned it around. Will be glad to see Iwobi back tomorrow though.

Iwobi is 20. Wenger knows he is one of the key players already because of his vision which imo is so rare. That makes him the backup to Ozil as well. (I think Wenger had expected Zelalem to mature into that player.) I think Oxo will get plenty of opportunities because of the need to keep Iwobi fresh. I agree there is a drop off between Iwobi and Oxo to an extent but Oxo also brings some in some experience.

Did he really? Shame Cameron didn't learn the wrong lesson from that incident.

Iwobi's looks like a real talent - obviously he doesn't have the pace of the other two but his ball control and ability to find the right pass is really up there.

I think we've seen this Theo before in patches and yes, injuries came at the worst times. I personally didn't think we would see him again in this type of form.

The question is now all about consistency. Not just for Theo but for the whole team, let's hope they can keep it up!

I think its more as the team is playing well he is elevated up.

Its why he looks the same old gash for england

"Yup, all 3 players are now in top form - actually the rest of the team too - and the workrate levels have CHANGED - it's a fine line, to play that way everybody has to be 'at it' - duh..."

I think the Middlesbrough match proved my point on this - other than Alexis the whole team was just flat after the midweek exploits - as a result we couldn't break them down and then every aerial ball we tried into the box as an alternative was lost because there was no decent header of the ball in our team to compete for it.

Losing Cazorla didn't help but the truth is as we didn't buy a striker there is no plan B until Giroud comes back.
