It's a brand new day

Fabulous game last night, the kind of game that marks a turning point in a team's season. Giles calls it 'moral courage'. This team has it, the will to win, and the unshakable belief that there will not be any other outcome.
Silvestri, Wood, Doukara, all players who have taken criticism, played through their self doubt and the doubt of the fans. They typify the resilience of this new look Leeds. Other players will pick up from it. There will be an amazing buzz in training this week.
We think of our heroes today, but we should also think about Grimes and Coyle and Mowatt, who did not shine so bright. We must be there for them too. They will learn from last night and their day will come. This match was not about our reserves showing what they were made of, it was about our club being the Leeds United we believe in, standing shoulder to shoulder with our best, on the greatest of occasions.
Monk and Pep are doing something special. It's not just about playing with our hearts on our sleeves, it's about taking hold of a game and owning it. Yes, we need to do this from the starting whistle. Yes, we need to take our chances. Yes, we need to close the doors once we get a lead. These are not just skills, they are the mantra of winners, bred from successes like this. Last night, we saw a team of winners, refusing to accept any other outcome. After so many false dawns, this feels like a brand new day.

Taylor is average going forward, sorry Kebab, but he is.

It's a brand new day? I phugging hope so - it's been a long, hard night!

Well done to all the players and manager last night, particularly Silvestri. Cracking result, and against Norwich too - that's very rich!

Could it possibly be that we have turned the corner? I haven't seen you lot talking like this (sort of ecstatic!) for a very loooooong time...

Last night is the first time for a very long time our team has given us anything to be ecstatic about!..

Caveat: I'm a massive Berardi fan.

Ayling has earned his spot. Berardi can play LB.
So agree with the idea that GB will be challenging
Charlie. Not bothered about his overlap play. He's
a solid defender, added to other solid defenders.

Good Evans, are you Churchill or are you reading that speech?..

What I liked about last night was the second half of extra time and the way they got stuck in, that's how every game should be played not just the second half of extra time in a cup game!..

So, was it 8 changes to the starting 11 last night?......its going to be difficult for the starting 11 in the next game to match what those did last night, it might not be a bad thing to let the same 11 start the next game!.

Thanks, Germany, but no, just a long suffering Leeds fan like you.

----------------------------------------------------------------------Agreed but at average he still is our most attacking fullback and the only one capable of getting assists and winning corners. Taylor however, is a terrific defender and Pulis appears to agree.

The team selection has to be quite variable, that's what feeds the desire to show what they can do. If any player thins his place is secure, no matter what then you have problems.

What a strange thing to say when overlapping play is vital to any team

Good Evans!.

Some more of last night should help ease that suffering!.
