Dream League - Cup Semi Finals

Forres vs Pumas

2 nice sides here, on paper I’d have Forres as favourites especially with home advantage, I really like Fans trident up top, very fluid and certainly has goals in it, that said I also like LSTD’s tactic of stifling the midfield and this does play into their hands against a 4-3-3…the back 3 would be tested, a good game none the less.

Forres 2-1 Pumas
Aguero (Berardi) Gabriel (Pjanic)
Williams (Shaw)

MOTM – Pjanic, kept the midfield ticking over nicely, a really good performance in the heart of the side.

Fishguard vs Edinburgh
Another nice game this, 2 sides that are improving all the time, Edinburgh have a very good front four and as expected they gave fishguard their fair share of trouble, The Welshman showed genuine German-esque efficiency have no idea why and held their ground. PEA with his pure pace is always a threat and kept the home crowd happy today
Fishy 3-2 Edinburgh
PEA hat-trick (Pulisic,Meyer,Brandt)
Lacazette (Alli) Robben (solo)

MOTM – can it be anyone else? PEA was superb today – not just the goals but the tireless running of the channels really gave his side a foundation to build on

Dream League Shield
Dyskobolia Grodzisk Wielkopolski 0-2 Blyth Spartans
Goals: Zlatan (Munir), De Sciglio (Insigne)
MOTM: De Sciglio
Walkover win for Blyth as they build towards next season and with realistically at least an outside chance of winning the Shield.

SC Cambuur-Leeuwarden 2-1 Wellington Phoenix
Goals
Cambuur: Martins (Garcia), Malcom (Paredes)
Wellington: Milik (Fekir)
MOTM: Lemos

One of the big clashes in the Shield is first up. Cambuur finished as top seeds when it came to the Dream League Shield, narrowly edging Wellington & Tatung on goal difference– and their home advantage in this game allowed Cambuur to pick up a massive 3 points. Wellington were in charge for periods but just couldn’t find the killer touch on the day that could have seen the result just as easily swing in their favour
With Cambuur travelling to Tatung next week, and Wellington at home to Blyth – this could still get interesting.
