Was watching a great video clip the other day of someone ranting about how Trump got into power (and how Brexit happened)
The guy spoke of how the left have demonized perfectly normal people for having views that go against the culture the left have spent decades building.
If you have a problem with too many immigrants in the country then you're racist
If you have a problem with same sssex marriage you're a homophobe
If you have a problem with a religion you're a hateful bigot
Etc
He went on to explain that if people are not allowed to have a view which goes against the grain that they will be massively frustrated with things and will do the one thing they know which is anonymous - the ballot box and vote against the people who are seen to deny them a voice.
I'm not particularly right or left wing. I have views which can appear on both sides of the fence but I do feel we are in a culture where having certain views can lead to far more demonization than is necessary and fair.
The guy in the video was Left wing and he could see exactly this type of suppression of speech happening which leads to someone like Trump being elected. His solution was one of more communication between both sides rather than shooting down of peoples views and them being stigmatized for them.
Have the left created a culture where free speech and opinions are sneered at? And if so, is it time to find a way to meet in the middle and stop labelling people for having certain views and to instead ask people why they have them?
Have the left destroyed debate?

A religion that chops pieces off the old chap before they know how big it's going to be needs to have a word with themselves.

I've seen worse said about Muslims on here, tbh.
But, I guess that's where we are right now.

Aspects of Adolf Hitler's religious beliefs have been a matter of debate. He is generally believed to have been skeptical of religion, but opportunistic and shrewdly aware of its influence on politics.[1]

Didn't read through the last 50 posts or so but are you comparing Trump to Hitler?

Is that the support for your arguement that Hitler was an atheist? You should have read the next few sentences. Glad you took my advice though, it's quite a thorough (if a little odd) Wiki article.

It would be hard to read it and conclude that he was actually an atheist though.
