Paris Restaurants

Evening lads

Heading back to Paris next week and was just wondering if anyone knew of any good restaurants. Not to far from Eiffel Tower / Champs Elysees etc.

Cheers

Met

I've been to this place a few times when over in Paris

http://www.chez-papa.com/

Really hearty South Western French food and huge portions. Locally owned as well.

Brittany for unbelievable seafood. But the Alsace tops it for me: the best place in the world for food.

Meat stews cooked for a full day in Riesling; oven baked thin crust bread with cream, onions and bacon; garlic bread with Munster cheese and ham dripping in fat; the best fresh asparagus anywhere; flame grilled Alsatian sausage; soft but hearty waffles loaded with huge amounts of whipped cream; savoury gallettes; smoked shoulders of pork that fall apart if you look at them...

Unbelievable.

Everyone should visit at least once. I'd recommend Colmar and the surrounding medieval villages. Go in green wine season and stay on a vineyard (which you can do for free if you have or can beg/borrow/steal a camper van).

Went to Chez Georges a few months back, probabaly the best steak and chips I've ever had, the side of bone marrow was delicious too.

Well, you've sold it to me.

Problem is I don't eat meat. I can only have the asparagus, and even that's probably soaked in pig fat or something
