Darmian

Darmian is awful, possibly even slightly worse than shaw has been this season.

I'm hopefully shaw has a future under Jose, but having been called out twice now I'm not so sure.

I'd go with Valencia.

What do you reckon your back 4 is going forward? Is it one space between Shaw/Darmian or is Blind in the picture for that position?

Darmian looks like he's going to be a casualty of the new era, at first he looked like he could do ok, but unfortunately he hasn't progressed.

He looked good at wing back but in a flat back 4 is horrific, bit like Alonso for us.

Yeah agreed, there has also been talk, that Smalling and Shaw could be on their way.

If you are solely looking at the players for FF purposes then there are an abundance of players better than Shaw, Valencia, Darmian for around the £5-5.5m mark.

It'll possibly settle until Bailly is back (possibly in Feb with his injury and ACON) as:

Valencia----Smalling----Blind----Darmian/Shaw

That said, the only cert in there is Valencia, although you'd expect Blind to play most games either at CB or LB.

If Jones can stay fit and/or Rojo can build on the improved form he's shown in his last two outings, either could stake a claim for more appearances at CB with Smalling and Shaw seemingly currently out of favour.

Valencia or Blind could pick up a few assists each this season. I wouldn't bank on either scoring.
