What About The Agent?

So it seems that MC is facing a ban and a fine. But what about the agent who took the illegal payment? Does he trouser the loot and get away with it?

Arsenal committed a similar offence resulting in a £60,000 fine and nobody was banned. Why did they go get away with it so lightly compared to the punishment handed out to Leeds?

If he appeals and loses can we get any points deducted ?

Well that answers my question about what happens to the agent.

£75,000 fine and a ban.

There is no more than that!

No it doesn't.

Day was not the problem, problem was the payment made to Barry Hughes.

It wasn't Day that 'trousered the loot' - he's an authorised agent, so there wouldn't have been any problem:
___________

Mirror Sport has seen documents which appear to show that Cellino signed off on behalf of the club a payment of £185,000 to a football agent, Derek Day. And that Day was collecting the payment on behalf of McCormack’s adviser, Barry Hughes, who is not a licensed agent.

Yes it does.

The agent who Leeds dealt with and paid the money to has been fined and banned.

So, if Cellino new what he was doing, does it mean the club does?..

I mean, he's one off the few in the world that don't give a stuff about authority and does whatever whether its allowed or not!..

So, what did the club do wrong apart from having him pulling its strings?..

Is the club paying 250,ooo or 500,ooo?..

250k each, total 500k

Crazy fines!

Fines seem disproportionate to the payment made.

How do they come up with these fine amounts?

Makes you wonder why MC would pay this money (club money) to someone like this guy.

I wonder if any of it went back in a certain persons pocket?

Bean was sacked the same day he refused to authorise the payment - so MC is totally responsible for both the club and himself getting caught breaching the rules.

Let's face it - he doesn't know right from wrong. Either that or he doesn't care.
