Do the right thing

I hope the club do the right thing and reimburse the fans who travelled to that game. That was a pathetic attempt and a football display. Couldn't pass a ball 5 yards, couldn't defend without shirt pulling, couldn't get anywhere near Brighton. Positives from that? Brighton were garbage today and will do well to get 2nd, and Phillips is suspended. 4 games in a row in the league where we've been poor, transfer window, Bridcutt and Hernandez cant come quick enough. Looked forward all day for that shower of a display, Brighton won't get an easier 3 points all season.

Just to give all this some context - I keep reminding myself that back in September I said I would be happy to find us in 19th place come mid May 2017, - it was looking so poor then.
Surprised at the speed someone has turned on the CB's; up until now they have been phenomenal.
Yes I think we are over achieving but a shrewd January transfer window to supplement the best we have can remedy that.
One final point - it's not so long ago that playing badly meant us losing 6 - 0 not 2 - 0.

Wasn't it In Brighton in September 2011 we came back to draw either 3-3 or 2-2? Remember watching the game in a bar in Kos.

All of this negativity is ridiculous. We've been doing ok so far this season. We were probably only good enough to force a draw last night up until we had Phillips sent off, but that would have done for me given the fixture.

I think the sending-off was correct, but we were really unlucky that the ref had a perfect clear view of it. I think if there were some bodies in the way we might have got away with it.

We aren't the best team in the Championship - all we can do is try to be the better team on the night. Last night we weren't. Onward to the next challenge...

It's natural that the higher you go, the higher you want to go. We've had a tough little cluster of fixtures recently and I think we've done well to be where we are, and we're not quite half way through the season. At one time I was happy to get into the top half of the table, then into the top ten, and now the play-offs. We're 3 weeks away from the opening of the transfer window, and MC is facing a ban in February. Is it too much to hope that the handing over of the club for day to day running will pass to the new guy before then and we'll cement the squad with the additions we need to sustain the momentum we've gained after a bad start to the season? Generally, results have improved, consequently expectations are higher, and there are a hell of a lot of games still to be played.

I'm looking forward to a positive response on Tuesday against one of our promotion rivals who recently got a 5-0 pasting on their travels. Wherever we finish in the table after today's matches it's not the end of the world.

How stupidly fickle are some of you lot.

Played badly against a good team away, leave it behind and focus on Tuesday.

Top 10 would be a good achievement.

This board cracks me up.

5 wins in 6 matches - "going up as champions, unbeatable, best squad ever, Monk is our saviour."

1 defeat at a bogey ground - "useless squad, overrated manager, couldnt win a raffle, deserve to be relegated."

I know I'm no better for overreacting to a bad result but some are acting like the 2 months before last night just never happened.

Some people have just been waiting for us to lose a game so that they can bring back their standard negative arguments.

It's boring.

No negs from me. Yes we had a poor night but the sending off made all the difference imo.

We never gave up.

I can't understand taking off Sacko and Doukara because they are at the centre of everything when we are playing well
