Tbab, is there any such thing as state terrorism?
Or state-sanctioned terrorism?
What is it/are they?
What defines it/them?
Is torture a form of terrorism?

I have my reservations as to what we term terrorism, especially when it's generally depicted (in the mainstream media and at large) as being perpetrated by any one side of the parties in a conflict, whether it's in the British Isles, Spain or the Middle East.

There's very often a justification when it's 'one of us' that isn't made when it's 'one of them'. We do it without realising in many walks of life - look no further than the stance many fans take in footy when talking about diving, gamesmanship, violent conduct, etc., etc.
